H-Ala-His-Lys-OH acetate salt

Tripeptide-3 specifically stimulates skin cell renewal through the regeneration of more collagen. Tripeptide-3 has good anti-aging and anti-wrinkle effects.Tripeptide-3 tests have shown Tripeptide-3 to be effective in hair growth, healing wounds and wound regeneration. Further studies have discovered Tripeptide-3 to have the capability to tighten skin and improve skin elasticity and reduce wrinkles. The tripeptide AHK (tripeptide-3), a GHK analog, also forms complexes with Cu(II). AHK-Cu promoted the growth of human hair follicles in vitro.

AHK-Cu increases the number of fibroblasts and boosts the production of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), which facilitates the formation of new blood vessels. It also reduces the secretion of transforming growth factor-beta1 in fibroblasts, an important step in countering the negative effects of DHT. This leads to reduced oxidative stress and stimulates hair growth by dermal papilla cells. Oxidative stress is responsible for triggering increased DHT production in scalp follicles, but the copper complex inhibits this stress by enhancing the production of SOD (Superoxide dismutase), which neutralizes potent free radicals like superoxide.
